Locate the pressure control valve (DR compensator block) on the pump. Loosen the locknut on the adjustment screw, and turn the screw clockwise to raise the system pressure cut-off point, or counter-clockwise to reduce it. Always perform adjustments with a pressure gauge installed in the pump outlet line, and never exceed the maximum operating pressure of the hydraulic circuit.

For standard runner blocks (such as the R1651 or R1622 series), mounting torque varies by screw size: M4 requires 4.1 Nm, M5 requires 8.5 Nm, M6 requires 14.6 Nm, and M8 requires 35 Nm using grade 12.9 high-tensile fasteners. Clean the mounting shoulder, check parallelism using a dial indicator, and torque the bolts sequentially in a star pattern.

The Rexroth 4WE6 is a direct-operated directional spool valve, meaning the electromagnetic force of the solenoid directly acts on the control spool via a wet pin. It does not require pilot oil pressure or pilot air to shift the valve, making it highly reliable at 0 bar system pressure.
